Installation of digitally printed water images on fabric, 200 x 128 cm each
Water is the central element in our life; without water there is no life.
Water has strength, energy, beauty, it is transparent, it creates space.
It streams, flows, drips, mirrors. The installation with 15 big panels
of water pictures will emphasize the necessity, but also the beauty of
water.
Nora Vest is born in Basel, Switzerland. She has a M.Arch. ETH from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and a MFA from John F. Kennedy University, Orinda, CA, USA. She lives and works in Basel. She has exhibited widely in the USA and Switzerland, but also in Brazil , Denmark and Germany. She has worked in different media. Her latest interests are installations to the theme of water.
Nora Vest participated in a group exhibition Seegang from ThalwilerHofKunst with her piece “Wellen auf Wellen” on the lake of Zürich, in the Gallery and Sculpture Garden Weiertal near Winterthur “Wasser und Luft” and the Kultur im Kraftwerk Augst “Wasser”.She has received several grants and awards and her work is in various public and private collections.
