Varsenik Khatlamajyan's exhibition at Villa Strauli, Winterthur

We are pleased to share with you the invitation to the exhibition of Varsenik Khatlamajyan at Villa Strauli in Winterthur on May 19.
Varsenik is a young Armenian artist who lives and works in Yerevan. After her artist-in-residence in Venice in 2011 for the ART for The World's exhibition The Mediterranean Approach, she has been selected by the Sulzberg Foundation for the artist-in-residence program in Winterthur. On May 19 she will present her new photos and watercolors realized in Switzerland in these last two months.

ART for The World's films on view in May 2012

In May different venues will host screenings of our short movies. Here are the dates and venues where you can see them. And for those who could not attend the screenings, the shorts are available on ART for The World YouTube Channel

• Glasgow, Scotland, May 5: screening in outdoor cinema of the short movie A Boy, a Wall and a Donkey by Hany Abu-Assad, segment of the omnibus film Stories on Human Rights (2008).

• International Film and Audiovisual Festival for Children and Youth, Mérida, Venezuela,  May 7-10: screenings of the short movies Carnaval dos Deuses by Tata Amaral, Chimères Absentes by Fanny Ardant, Distante un padre by Masbedo, The Accordion by Jafar Panahi, La longue marche du caméléon by Idrissa Ouedraogo. All shorts are segments of the collective film THEN AND NOW Beyond Borders and Differences (2010-2011).

• Izmir, Turkey, May 12-21: screening of the long feature Stories on Human Rights within the EU project "Human Rights Education through Turkish Shadow Puppet Theatre", organized by the Greek non profit association "The Spiral".
